The company, specialized in the production of packaging for the pharmaceutical industry operating in Spain, Portugal, Italy and France, wants to cross the ocean and conquer the Mexican market.
More than 150 plastic containers produced in 2012, a steady growth, and to be pioneers in implementing cleanrooms, have led Plastics Inden to consider a new strategy of expanding beyond the Atlantic.
The objective is to internationalize their products in Mexico, a niche market where its products would fit to a great advantage through their line called WhitePack: very small PET containers whose measures are not manufactured in the North American country.
Plastics Inden is considering all options before embarking on this new adventure, as there are certain drawbacks, such as high cost of transport; although this could be offset by decreasing production costs, according to company sources.
At the same time, Mexico is the largest consumer of these products, and differentiation in their products make Inden become a strong competitor on the other side of the pond.
